Schedule of Events for the Weekend:

  • Cheese Scavenger Hunt for Cheese Prizes – Starts at Young’s Farmstead Cheese Marketplace
  • Contest – Guess the Weight of a block of Swiss Cheese or Toreador’s Aged Cheddar. Closest guess wins the wheel!
  • Sampling of Young’s Deep Fried Curds at both restaurants.
  • Complimentary small cheese sampler served with every dinner meal at The Golden Jersey Inn
  • Side orders of Young’s Deep Fried Curds only $2.69. Save 50¢!

Saturday & Sunday

  • 11am to 8pm – Sampling Young’s Farmstead Baby Swiss, Red Barn Cheddar, Uncle Jack’s Jersey Jack, Colby, Pepper Jack, Garlic Cheddar Cheese at the Farmstead Cheese Marketplace in The Dairy Store and fresh cheddar curds.
  • 1pm 2:30pm & 4pm – (Register Below) Tour to see our cheese making equipment.  Includes a video and talk on how we make cheese by our cheese makers Stuart Young and Mike Randall.
  • 3pm (Saturday only) – Cheese & Wine Pairing talk by Jim Brandeberry from Brandeberry Winery

Cheese Production Tour 2012

Learn how Young’s makes cheese and fresh cheese curds on our farm during our third annual Cheese Festival, June 9 & 10! Tour our cheese production area and talk to our cheese makers about how we make different kinds of cheddar, baby swiss, colby, pepper jack, jersey jack and more. Tours will be given at 1pm, 2:30pm, and 4pm. Each tour will last 30-40 minutes. There is no cost for the tour. The tour will begin near the red barn. Limited space, so sign up now to reserve your spot!
