Pumpkins provided by Young’s – approximately 2-3 lbs each
Come see the national finalists from the World Pumpkin Chunkin Association: Team Ethos & American Chucker (See both teams throw in exhibition)
Need another reason? Because it’s fun! Also to build youth awareness of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields… Putting science and gourds in motion!
All proceeds will go toward youth scholarships.
Sign up and join the competition! (Download the rules here) There will be three age groups competing with Catapults & Trebuchets only.
- Youth (Under 14) will aim for a target at 100′
- Youth+ (Ages 14-18) will aim for a target at 250′
- Adult/open also (19+) aim toward target at 250′
- Category will be determined by the oldest individual working the machine during competition.
