2016 will bring a few new flavors and some favorites from year’s past. We make about 90 flavors of our homemade ice cream and gelato each year. We understand we won’t have everyone’s favorite – but we do try to rotate flavors to always have a good selection of the regular flavors – plus new tastes to enjoy! When we add a new flavor – we have to make room in the dipping case. We dip about 40-42 flavors at any one time. Our main flavor schedule is posted– check to see when your favorite will be available.
New flavors for 2016 include Chipotle Almond (Sep-Oct), Nutella Chocolate Covered Potato Chips(Sep-Oct), German Chocolate Brownie (March – August), Sour Cherry Ginger (Mar-June), & Pineapple Sherbet (Jul-Aug).
Returning favorites include S’Mores (Mar-Oct), Banana (Mar-Aug – just plain banana, we alternate with another favorite Banana Cookie Crunch each year), White Chocolate Raspberry Swirl (Mar-Jun), Turtle Sundae (Mar-Aug), Black Cherry (Jul-Oct), Lemon Custard (Mar-Aug), Peaches & Cream (Mar-Aug), Pumpkin and Cinnamon (Sep-Oct), Sea Salty Pretzel Crunch (Mar-Aug) and Peppermint Stick & Egg Nog in Nov-Dec).
Thanks for all your suggestions and ideas on flavors throughout the years. We enjoy trying new flavors out (can’t do them all – but the taste tests are a nice perk of the job!).
With careful planning, you might be able to schedule a visit to Young’s when one of your favorite flavors is the Flavor of the Week – you get two dips for the price of one dip, and pints ($2.99) and half gallons ($5.49) are on sale for that flavor, also. Mark your calendar – this year our annual pint sale is March 24-28 (Thursday – Monday of Easter weekend). We make thousands of pints for you to enjoy for $2.09 a pint while they last. Plan to make room in your freezer and stock up!
