This carousel comes with COWS! Our 36' carousel opened in July of 2024 and is located just north of the Dairy Store. The building is enclosed and heated for year-round use.
Cowtherine's Carousel is included in our family value wristband weekends, our corporate picnics and Club Cowvin, our annual membership. So order now and be ready to ride those cows!

Our 36-foot carousel features an enchanting lineup of farm animals and ice cream-painted horses, including six Jersey cows, one pig, one goat, one rooster, and 21 horses each uniquely adorned to represent Young's famous homemade ice cream flavors.

Every Wednesday
On Wednesdays, 50¢ from each ticket sold will go to a different local charity or non-profit. No flyers, secret winks or handshakes needed! Just come in and enjoy a ride on Cowtherine's Carousel and support a great local cause!
Moo-sical Chair Nights
Every Thursday Night from 6pm-8pm
Ride Cowtherine's Carousel with a different set of tunes each Thursday night. DJ Barnabe will be spinning the hits from Beethoven to Beck, from Lady Gaga to Led Zeppelin, from Elvis to Ed Sheeran and Bob Dylan to Billie Eilish.

At the Grand Opening Event of Cowtherine's Carousel we awarded a check to Rocking Horse Community Health Center for $103,000! This was totaled from the 13 animal sponsorships and 600+ bricks that were sold during our fundraiser.

Sponsor Judy Mosier is a long-time employee of Young’s Jersey Dairy! Judy said of her decision to become a sponsor: “I have worked at Young's for over 60 years and have watched all the many changes. I advocated for a carousel for many years and was thrilled when it became a reality.“
This cow features a classic Jersey coat and markings, with a depiction of a cow jumping over the moon on its saddle. She is named “Elizabeth” in honor of Judy’s mother and daughter, who share that middle name.
Rosie

Featuring a distinctive blend of tawny and ivory hues, Rosie’s natural markings are a tribute to the timeless beauty of the Jersey breed.
Visit Greater Springfield loves what the carousel adds to the visitor experience to the area, while supporting the indispensable resource that is Rocking Horse Community Charities! They dubbed the cow “Rosie” for the city of Springfield’s moniker, “The Rose City.”

With a warm, golden-brown coat, this cow brings the authentic charm of a Jersey cow straight from the pasture to the carousel!
The Park National Bank team shared that they were excited to sponsor Cowtherine’s Carousel knowing it would enjoyed by people and their families for years to come, with beneficiary Rocking Horse Community Health Center making the sponsorship even more meaningful. They chose the name “Milk Money” for their cow as a perfect blend of both the bank and the dairy!

Gordy the Jersey cow boasts a smooth, velvety fawn coat accented with dark black patches. He is sponsored by, and named for, Gordon Food Service, a long-time vendor for Young’s.
This sponsorship was made possible by GFS employees at the Springfield, Ohio distribution center. They raised the funds in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, with a matching donation from the company, and all proceeds benefitting Rocking Horse Community Health Center!

Oinkle Sam

Oinkle Sam is lovingly named after a pig rescued by Francis Kennels in Xenia, Ohio in 2018. Sam was found in bad shape, and starving in a garage when the Humane Society asked Francis Kennels to take him in.
“Boy did I love him,” said Francis Kennels co-owner Ally Grech. “He lived a good life with us— he had goat friends and he inspired us to rescue two more pigs. We’re so thrilled his legacy can live on at Young’s on the carousel!”
In honor of his name, this radiant pig is decked out in a vibrant patriotic theme, featuring stars and stripes in red, white, and blue.
